A Finnish style, wood-fired barrel sauna on the banks of Lough Key. Our sauna is the perfect place to unwind. Take in the views of beautiful Lough Key and McDermotts castle while relaxing in the heat. Cool off with an invigorating swim in Lough Key afterwards.

What to Know
Location

Lough Key is conveniently located on the N4 Dublin to Sligo Road and is 17 kilometres from the N5 Dublin to Westport Road. The town of Boyle is only 5 km from Lough Key, which links to the N61 Roscommon/Athlone Road.

Boyle is located along the N4 at the foot of the Curlew mountains.
Changing

There are no changing rooms at the sauna. We recommend you arrive ready for your session. Alternatively, you may get changed in the toilet and shower rooms a short walk from the sauna at the lake front.
You will need to bring 2 towels (1 small one to sit on) a bottle of water and suitable footwear. (crocs/flip flops/wet shoes)

There are toilets at Lough Key visitor centre. Also there are toilets and showers at the lake front.
The Sauna

Your shared session is 45 minutes long. You should arrive early to allow time to get changed (or arrive changed) and be ready to start your sauna at your booked time slot to maximise your time in the sauna.
Our Barrel sauna holds a maximum of 8 people during a shared public session. If you book a private group booking, we can accommodate up to ten people maximum.

We are Shane and Darran. We are Boyle natives and are delighted to bring the first outdoor wood fired sauna to the beautiful shores of Lough Key.
